Step 1: Download and install Fiddler. (PC Only) **For Mac Users, please use HttpFox**

Step 2: Run Fiddler while completing a test transaction from start to end using an easily recognizable test sub ID (SID=Test1). 

If you are attempting to diagnose an affiliate's pixel problem, begin by using your affiliate's tracking system link.  Their link should redirect through your own tracking link.  Fiddler will display all links and images loaded to your browser during the test.

Step 3: Review the results displayed in Fiddler and locate your tracking URL and confirmation pixel URL. 

If your tracking URL is not present, the link used does not redirect through your tracking link and therefore will not track in LinkTrust.  If you used an affiliate's tracking system link for the test, contact your affiliate to correct the problem. 

If your confirmation page pixel URL is not present, then your pixel has not been placed on the confirmation page or you have been redirect to the wrong confirmation page.  If this is the case, contact your Merchant to have them fix the problem.

Step 4: Assuming that you located your tracking and confirmation pixel URL, verify that they are formatted correct and without errors.

Step 5: Login to the Partner Center and verify that the transaction tracked by LinkTrust.  Locate the transaction for the campaign, affiliate and sub ID used the tracking link you tested.

Step 6: If you are attempting to diagnose an affiliate's pixel problem, review the results displayed in Fiddler to locate your affiliate's redirect and pixel URL.  Their redirect URL should appear above your own tracking URL and their pixel URL should appear somewhere below your confirmation pixel URL.

If your affiliate's redirect URL is not present, you didn't use their tracking URL in the test.  Request the tracking URL from your affiliate and retest.

If your affiliate's pixel URL is not present, verify that their pixel URL was saved in LinkTrust and that their AFID was used in the your tracking URL.  If these checks are successful, review the PixVantage textbox for the campaign to ensure that you do not have any javascript errors or single quotes in the code that would disable PixVantage's ability to place pixels.

If your affiliate's pixel URL is present but they report that it did not track in their system, the tracking issue resides on your affiliate's side and not with LinkTrust.
